Epipactis cretica**

Ενδημική και απειλούμενη στην Κρήτη, απαντάται μόνο σε μεγάλα υψόμετρα στις τρεις οροσειρές της Κρήτης. Ανθίζει στις αρχές Ιουνίου. Εφόσον υπάρχει μόνο στην Κρήτη, η πιο κοντινή μορφολογικά Επιπακτίδα είναι η Epipactis microphylla, ωστόσο η cretica ξεχωρίζει καθώς δεν έχει τις σαρκώδεις εκβλαστήσεις στο επιχείλιο και τα άνθη της είναι μικρά. Επίσης το κατώτερο φύλλο συνήθως απέχει από το έδαφος.

Endemic and endangered in Crete, this Epipactis is growing only at high altitudes of the three high mountain ranges of the island. Since it exists only in Crete, it can only be confused with Epipactis microphylla. Nevertheless, Epipactis cretica has not the thick grey-whitish hairs on the stem, its flowers are small and different and usually the lower basal leave lies in a distance of some centimeters from the ground. It flowers on early June.
