Epipactis olympica**

ROBATSCH, 1990

Μια από τις πιο σπάνιες στενοενδημικές επιπακτίδες της Ευρώπης. Απαντά σε πολύ λίγα σημεία του Ολύμπου, από τα 800 ως τα 1100μ, σε σκιερά δάση οξιάς με βόρεια και ανατολική έκθεση. Είναι ξεχωριστή με πυκνή ταξιανθία, μικρά φύλλα, μικρά, κρεμάμενα άνθη με σχετικά μακριά ωοθήκη, ρηχό και φαρδύ υποχείλιο και επιχείλιο με μήκος λίγο μεγαλύτερο από το πλάτος του. Το επιχείλιο φέρει μικρά εξογκώματα με ροζ απόχρωση. Αντίθετα με την αρχική περιγραφή του Robatsch, ανθίζει σχετικά νωρίς, από τα τέλη Ιουνίου μέχρι τα τέλη Ιουλίου.

One of the most rare, narrow-endemic epipactis of Europe. It can be found only in a few locations of Olympos mountain, from 800 to 1100m altitude, in shadows of dense beech forests with north and east exposure. It is very distinct with its dense inflorescence, small leaves, small, hanging flowers with long ovary, shallow and wide hypochile and relatively long epichil, which bears small, pink swellings at its base. In contrast to the original description by Robatsch, it flowers early, from end June to mid-end July.
