Με χαρακτηριστικό απλωτό και συνήθως χωρίς κάμψη (ευθύ) χείλος η ορχιδέα αυτή περιγράφηκε από την Πάρο για πρώτη φορά και μέχρι στιγμής έχει βρεθεί επίσης στην Αμοργό και την Αστυπάλαια. Τα μικροτριχίδια του χείλους είναι ανώμαλα κατανεμημένα έτσι ώστε σχηματίζουν αραιές τούφες και δίνουν "πιτσιλωτή" όψη στο άνθος, χαρακτηριστικό που κάνουν την Ophrys parosica να ξεχωρίζει από τις άλλες pseudophrys του νησιού. Άλλα αναγνωριστικά είναι η σχετικά όψιμη άνθηση και το μεγάλο κίτρινο περιθώριο του χείλους. Άνθηση: τέλη Μαρτίου - Απρίλιος.
*Σημείωση: Το σπάνιο αυτό Κυκλαδίτικο είδος προστέθηκε στην λίστα του site χάρη στους Γιώργο Καβάλλη και Μαρουλία Κοντού, οι οποίοι ευγενικά έστειλαν και τις 4 παρακάτω φωτογραφίες και επέτρεψαν την παρουσίασή τους.
With a characteristic spreading out and usually without longitudinal bending lip, this rare orchid was described originally from Paros island and until now it has been spotted only in few locations of Amorgos and Astypalaia islands. The lip pilosity is sparse and irregularly distributed giving a "spotted" appearance, a characteristic which makes the discrimination from other pseudophrys of these islands, easy. Clues for the recognition also are the relatively late flowering time and the large yellowish edge of the lip. Flowering time: end of March - April
