Dactylorhiza pindica*

Ξεχωριστά χαρακτηριστικά αυτής της δακτυλόριζας είναι τα σχετικά μεγάλα άνθη (βλέπε φωτο Νο1), το μεγάλο ύψος του βλαστού και τα μεγάλα στικτά βασικά φύλλα. Η ταξιανθία επίσης είναι κυλινδρική, πυκνή και επιμήκης (φωτο Νο2). Η γενικότερη ευρωστία του φυτού την κάνει να ξεχωρίζει από την Dactylorhiza baumanniana με την οποία συναποικίζει συχνά βαλτώδη μέρη στην βόρεια Πίνδο και δημιουργεί πολλές φορές υβρίδια που κάνουν την αναγνώριση των ενδιαμέσων φυτών δύσκολη. Κατανέμεται κυρίως στην κεντρική και βόρεια Πίνδο και ανθίζει από τέλη Μαΐου ως τέλη Ιουνίου.

Special characteristics of this Dactylorhiza are the relatively large flowers (photo No1), the high stem and the long and spotted basal leaves. The inflorescence also is cylindrical, long and dense (photo No2). The general robustness of the plant discriminates it from Dactylorhiza baumanniana which commonly occurs at the same swampy places of North Pindus range and with which sometimes forms hybrid populations, creating problems with the recognition of intermediate plants. Distributed especially to central and northern Pindus and flowering from end of May to end of June.
