Οι παρακάτω Ophrys βρέθηκαν στα τέλη Μαΐου, σε μεγάλους αριθμούς, σε 3 διαφορετικά μέρη, κοντά στο Ζαγοροχώρι Φραγκάδες. Παρατηρήθηκαν 2 τουλάχιστον πληθυσμοί, με διαφορετικό μήκος χείλους (1,3-1,4mm και 1mm, δείτε τη διαφάνεια Νο3). Από την Ήπειρο προέρχεται το αποξηραμένο δείγμα, στο οποίο βασίστηκε η περιγραφή του νέου είδους Ophrys sepioides (P. Devillers και J. Devillers-Terschuren. La Section Orchidées d'Europe des Naturalistes belges., hors-série 2004, 85 - Spécial Orchidées n°17)
Στον παρακάτω πίνακα αναγράφονται στοιχεία της φωτογράφησης του φυτού, όπως και το μήκος χείλους (LL: το μήκος του χείλους μετρημένο από την βάση του χείλους, στο σημείο που τα πλαϊνά τοιχώματα της στιγματικής κοιλότητας το συναντούν μέχρι την άκρη του στο σημείο που ενώνεται με την απόφυση. The following Ophrys have been found on late May, in large colonies, in 3 different locations, near Frangades village, Zagori, Epiros. At least 2 distinct forms were observed, with different lip lengths (1,3-1,4mm and 1mm, see in the slide No 3). P. Devillers and J. Devillers-Terschuren (La Section Orchidées d'Europe des Naturalistes belges., hors-série 2004, 85 - Spécial Orchidées n°17) described the new species, Ophrys sepioides, based on a herbarium specimen from Epiros and studying the populations of the locus typicus of this Ophrys, which is considered to be also Epiros.
In the next table, you may see photographical data and the length of the labellum (LL: the lip length measured from the lip base, at its meeting point with the side walls of the stigmatic cavity, till the lowers end of the lip, at its meeting point with the appendage. Measurements are taken in the field, without pressing the lip on a stable surface). Some slide are accompanied by more comments and observations.

Δύο μορφές (φυτά Νο3), η πιο κοινή με μεγάλο μήκος χείλους (LL=14mm) και η άλλη σπανιότερη, με μικρό μήκος χείλους (LL=10mm). Το φυτό Νο4 είναι με μεγάλο χείλος, μαζί με Ophrys epirotica και τα φυτά Νο5 και 6 είναι με μικρό χείλος. ----------------------- Epiros, very close to Frangades village, 29-5-04, 1100m, together with Ophrys epirotica, Ophrys apifera. Two forms (plants No3), the first more abundant with long lips (LL=14mm) and the second more rare with shorter lips (LL=10mm). | Σχόλια για τα
φυτά Νο3,4,5 και 6 : Οι δύο μορφές κερασφόρων Ophrys ανευρέθηκαν σε δύο διαφορετικέ τοποθεσίες, κοντά μεταξύ τους. Η μορφή με το μικρό χείλος είναι πιο σπάνια και δεν βρέθηκε ποτέ σε ξεχωριστό βιότοπο, χωρίς την μορφή με το μακρύ χείλος. Στα φυτά της διαφάνειας Νο3, λόγω της πρόσθιας φωτογράφησης, έγινε δυνατή η μέτρηση της αναλογίας του εύρους της στιγματικής κοιλότητας προς το μεγαλύτερο εύρος του χείλους. Η αναλογία αυτή στο μεγαλύτερο άνθος (αριστερά) είναι περίπου 40%, δηλαδή παραπλήσια του Ophrys sepioides (P. Devillers και J. Devillers-Terschuren. La Section Orchidées d'Europe des Naturalistes belges., hors-série 2004, 85 - Spécial Orchidées n°17). Η ίδια αναλογία του μικρότερου άνθους (δεξιά) είναι 45%. Στην Ήπειρο φαίνεται ότι υπάρχει και τρίτη μορφή κερασφόρων Ophrys, με ακόμα μικρότερο μήκος χείλους (LL=7,65mm). The form with the small lip is more rare and never found growing alone. In the plants of the slide No3, which are photographed "en face", the ratio between stigmatic cavity width and lip's largest width was counted. This ratio, in the big flower (on the left) is about 40%, an analogy very close to Ophrys sepioides' (P. Devillers and J. Devillers-Terschuren. La Section Orchidées d'Europe des Naturalistes belges., hors-série 2004, 85 - Spécial Orchidées n°17). The same ratio of the small flower (on the right) is 45%.
