Ενδημική των Ιονίων νήσων (Κέρκυρα, Κεφαλονιά και Ζάκυνθος) με μορφολογία άνθους ενδιάμεση μεταξύ της Serapias cordigera και της Serapias neglecta, που δεν υπάρχει στην Ελλάδα. Αναγνωρίζεται από το κόκκινο σκούρο χρώμα του χείλους και τα βασικά φύλλα που είναι τοξοειδή. Ανθίζει Μάρτιο με Απρίλιο.
Σημείωση: Ακόμα μία σπάνια ορχιδέα που παρουσιάζεται στο παρόν site, χάρη στον Walter Van den Bussche, που προσέφερε ευγενικά τις παρακάτω φωτογραφίες.
Endemic to Ionian islands of Kerkyra (Corfu), Cephalonia and Zakynthos. The flower appearance is intermediate between Serapias cordigera and Serapias neglecta, which does not exists in Greece. It is recognized by the dark red color of the labellum and the arched to spiraled basal leaves. Flowering time: March - April.
